Harisu Is Married

This is really old news but I just know of it only today. S. Korea’s most famous transsexual singer Harisu tied the knot. Not only that, her boyfriend is 5 years younger than her. The ironic thing is, they decided to have their honeymoon in Thailand, or as Vincent calls it - Trannyland.

More here.

Facebook and Friendster

A long time ago, I had a friendster account. Asides from adding friends whenever they found me, I did practically nothing to it. The only thing I found it good for was it’s birthday reminders. Unfortunately, the other mails from friendster came along with that as well. Those "Your friend has updated their profile" kind of emails. I never bothered to check if I can uncheck such an option. Going into friendster was really quite dreary especially after I did not touch it for years.

In the end, around early this year, I deleted my friendster account. Gone are all my testimonials. I believe it’s one of the few profiles that use the testimonial section for it’s original intentions. Now all I see are, "Haha, yeah lor. He’s very lame that day. We should meet up again." as testimonials.

Then I got badgered by Insomney to get facebook - which I refused to for months but I finally got an account. Then it got addictive. My empty page slowly grew more colourful and messier. I had to trim it many times because it was getting a little ridiculous. Anyone on my facebook could see I was having no life. Super-poking every other day, fluff petting, facebook trawling…

Over this time, I heard that Friendster changed their interface a lot since years back and is much better now. Also due to certain f***ed up changes in my life, I decided to hunt down old friends and took up Friendster again. I managed to track down some people. Really astonished at how they’ve changed. Most people started dressing nicer. The behaviours and attitudes are different as can be seen from photographs. Some people whom we nastily thought would never get attached, got attached. "Pai kia"s became goody two shoes. Some goody two shoes became "pai kia"s. As Maeko and I went Friendster trawling, we got a little dejected because we looked at ourselves and said, we’ve not changed at all.

Most people seemed happier with their lives, especially those that got attached. Those that didn’t, involved themself in whatever passion we can see there. Some are motorbike racing, some are of other things. Although the photos never seem to exhibit the same level of happiness as those who are attached.

Overall, as an social network application, I still think Facebook is better. But the user base that Friendster has now is much better. I can’t find as much people in Facebook. Hopefully, one day they would all move over.

Amount of MSN contacts

I finally have 50 contacts! Sad, huh?

When friends were having 50, I had 16 of which half were classmates I don’t talk to. When they had 100 I had around 23… Now, I have exactly 50 contacts.

I wonder how many msn contacts do other people have today.
